That's odd. Normally, the bride and groom, will deliver keynote speeches at the rehearsal dinner, thanking his parents and wedding party. However, if your friend wants in this way either! That rehearsal dinner informal speech, saying how happy he is for both, what fun I have had looking to plan your wedding (or whatever). The speech may be the official reception with amusing anecdotes, etc.
I'm getting married on June 7. I wonder about the toast. That all makes toast and when. As in the rehursal, not the bride and groom to toast with the rest of the wedding party, thanking them for being in the wedding. I can not write and have no idea what to say. How do I keep my maid of honor from embarrassing me?
My maid of honor is an old friend who is a wonderful girl, but has a big mouth. I’m really afraid that she’s going to give a toast at my wedding that will embarrass me. She has no issue talking about private things and doesn’t seem to understand that there are things you talk about with your friends that you wouldn’t necessarily talk about with your parents or co-workers or grandparents. She said something at my wedding shower that she really shouldn’t have and I was so embarrassed. Should I talk to her about it or take the toast part of the reception out entirely? Or should I just hope and pray that it all goes okay?
She doesn’t do it maliciously, she just has a different sort of social filter. She’s just one of those sweet and clueless types.
Lol, I have a friend who’s the exact same, she’s lovely but she’s painfully blunt sometimes.
Why not skip her toast? At my wedding we just skipped the MOH speech or toast. We had both fathers, the best man, my husband and I give speeches and toasts and that was more than enough. Tell her that you want to keep toasts to a minimum because people don’t like sitting still for too long.
If you want to still make her feel more involved (although as MOH she’s about as involved as she can get) then have her do a reading of a poem or a nice piece of writing that speaks about marriage, at the ceremony and give her the piece that you want her to read.

My best friend is getting married in May and I am the matron of honor and the need to see some Cleaning examples of honor speeches. I know what I mean just dont know how the word of it and things like that so I thought if I could maybe some examples would help me

Why did Bob Jom make a great wife? What are some of their attributes? Some accomplishments? Like this perhaps: "I have known Linda for many years (insert # of years). It has become a wonderful young man. She has worked hard to get where he is today (insert school, employment, etc.) Linda is always a kind person and will give Greg a wonderful wife because she is so giving and loving. Linda, I'm very honored and proud that I chose as his godmother of honor. Greg and I wish all the happiness life can offer a peaceful and lasting marriage. Salute. MC – introductions, announce far from town guests, Bdays, anniversarys Toast the bride toasts the groom's parents of the bride Parents of the groom, bride and groom and done, let the fun begin !!!!!!! What am I missing??? Anything? Actually I'm with all these interventions and the speaking parents is traditional in my region and is considered rude not to welcome his new son in law / daughter in law and their families in his family. That said, the speeches and not much time, but 5 minutes tops!
