wedding toasts made easy

Many people care and work for hours about how to structure your wedding speech, no! The wedding speech can easily be handled and goods delivered trust.

A well-structured speech wedding will have three main areas: a review of opening keynote address, a comment from closure and toast. When you are writing your wedding speech is easier to list the topics covered for each of these three main areas. Each speaker at a wedding is a small number of elements suggested by the protocol should include in your speech, so these are always a good place to start when to its list of topics for inclusion in the speech.

A good wedding speech will be neither too short nor too long. The first thing suggests there is not enough to say in the celebration of special days of the married couple and the first to create a risk of becoming boring or repetitive. An average acceptable for a good wedding speech is seven minutes – that will give you the opportunity to speak about 1,000 words at a rate even delivery.

To write your wedding speech, take a blank sheet of paper and divide the page into three sections (beginning, or opening remarks – Medium or give the keynote address – End, its concluding observations and proposed toasts). In each of the items into account the elements that their speech is traditionally expected to include (leave a space between insert other elements of the choice later), we have listed the following items for each of the keynote speakers for the wedding:

Father of the bride:
Thanks for the guests to attend
Thanks to those who contributed to the organization or finances of the wedding
Compliment the bride in her aspect and her choice of husband
Welcome the groom to the family
Toast the bride and groom (at the conclusion of the speech)

The Groom:
Thanks to the father of the bride by the comments of its kind
Thanks for the guests to attend the wedding
Thanks to both the bride and the groom's parents (including parents the bride for raising a beautiful daughter)
With the best man for his performance of his duties at the wedding
Toast the bridesmaids (the conclusion of his speech)

The best man:
Thank the groom on behalf of the bridesmaids for his toast
Congratulate the bride and groom in their marriage
Read messages sent by those unable to attend the wedding
Toast the bride and groom (at the conclusion of the speech)

When you have listed the essential elements of your speech you can then start adding the things that decides to include in what you intend to say. For example, the father of the bride could include a special thanks to others who have made the wedding day a success (the catering services, minister, etc.) refer to a couple of stories his daughter grow and offer some experienced advice to the couple's married life. The groom may include a special mention for his girlfriend, with specific comments on the which have played an important role in organizing the wedding and take the opportunity to present and say a special word about the best man. The best man could include a few, good taste, the light-hearted stories about the groom, an anecdote or two about the bride (if you know quite well) and relate some stories of Humor about marriage in general – ensuring that the best man's speech is still of good taste and touch, even light-hearted, everywhere.

When you've made your list of items which are included in the wedding speech, you can go through the list and begin to formulate what you say on each topic. By the time they have come the end of the list is easy must have written around 1,000 words, which fill the time you need to be speaking at the wedding reception. You may even face with the dilemma of what to make of the speech because it became too long!

Tips for Groom’s speech?

In about five weeks I’m getting married, and it suddenly dawned on me that I haven’t even begun to think about my speech yet.

We’ve got a toastmaster so I’m not overly sweating it, but I wanted to get any tips from people here!

So, I know most of what I have to do, thank the bride’s family, compliment the bride, say a couple of pieces about why I love her and then propose a toast to bridesmaids and best men I think. So, er, can I be funny in my speech, or should I be serious?

I’m not a 100% serious bloke to be honest, so it might sound a bit weird me being serious for the whole speech.

Also, anybody heard/used any great anecdotes/jokes/lines in speeches that I can plagerise? Thanks!

10 points for the best answer of course…

Off course you can be funny! I highly reccomend it. It’s a party after all.

Start with a funny story about you two like the time she accidently caught the kitchen on fire and you ended up at Mcdonalds for your romantic dinner or something, follow up with a heartfelt comment about your lovely new bride. Then thank the guests for coming and thank anybody who helped make the wedding possible.

Your speech should reflect your personality and since you seem like a guy with a great sense of humor make it that way. As long as you stay away from politics, religion, and the current or past sexual exploits of you and the bride you will be fine. If either of you have been to jail or had an abortion I would leave that out too. I know those sound like no duh’s but sorry to say I actually had a groom tell his bride how lucky she was to have him since she used to be such an easy lay.
