I have social anxiety and my sister has asked me to give a toast at her wedding….?
my family knows that I have fear of speaking in public but the extent of social anxiety (in their eyes) is a cop out. I really want to give a speech because I love my sister and it is her special day. However the wedding is in 30 days and everyday for the past 2 months i have been having major panic attacks. Aside from that I have been having hot flashes at work followed by chest pain, fear of walking and talking in front of even my boss or boyfriend. My hands sweat to a point were I cannot shake someones hand however if I do not I am being rude. I am seeing a doctor tomorrow will the Dr give me meds or will I just be examined? What will the DR do for me?I feel like I am going to pass out…..
Maybe the doctor will give you a few tranquilizer pills that you might need once for that day.
My strategy would be to face your sister the entire time, maybe even hold her hand for support.
