I am an American that is going to be the best man at a Turkish Wedding?
The wedding is going to be in Bodrum next July and I don’t know any Turkish. I want to learn enough turkish to get up and give an entertaining speech about my lifelong friend. Want to know how hard it is going to be to learn Turkish and what kind of sense of humor I should expect? I am almost positive that most of her family speaks little or no English. Any guidance on where to learn to turkish and how far I should take the speech are greatly appreciated.

Not only will it be a stressful day for me in my daughter's wedding day, because I divorced the father of my daughter and I have not seen or talked with him for many years, but my father is very ill and my parents can travel as far as not going to attend the wedding. I am gettin married this Saturday coming up and my fiance and I are struggling with our speech. We want to keep it short and sweet which sounds easy but here is the problem. My parents have literally paid for EVERYTHING. His parents have not contributed a dime. My fiance and I even had to pay for their wedding attire. We know that times are tough for them right now and we understand why they didn’t. So how do you right a speech to thank my parents and make a mention of them but not make them feel like crap because they didn’t contribute to our wedding?? I'm Maid of Honor, 14, and lives in a different state! What should I do?
As I said, I'm only 14 and live in a different state then the bride, but I'm a bridesmaid for the wedding of my friend and I'm very confused. I've looked all rights lady of honor and I can do half of them, because I live in a different state. I really do not know what to do ….. I'm supposed to make a speech, but I've only seen the boyfriend while he was going through while they were visiting. I do not know what I put in the toast or speech. Also, am I supposed to do a toast at the rehearsal dinner? What I put in it? I'm very nervous because I feel like a bad maid of honor do not want to leave the bride down because she has always been there for me ….. Can anyone give me some advice?
